Fall for You in Every Way (Season 1)

In her past life, Zhou Lan placed her misplaced trust in her fiancé Gu Xuan and her cousin Zhou Yue, who had been fostered in her family. In the end, her family was destroyed, and she met a tragic fate, drowning at sea. Reborn, she returns to the day right before her engagement to Gu Xuan. To avert the tragedy of her previous life, she fakes amnesia after a fall into the water. Jiang Zhou, her long‑time rival who had always clashed with her, is the first person she sees upon waking. Having harbored a secret crush on Zhou Lan for years, Jiang Zhou seizes the moment, lying that he is her boyfriend so he can stay by her side and keep her safe. Determined to break off the doomed engagement and safeguard the Zhou family’s business, Zhou Lan plays along, and the two enter into a contractual relationship. With careful planning in her second life, Zhou Lan takes Jiang Zhou straight to the company and catches Gu Xuan and Zhou Yue in an affair. She publicly humiliates them by calling off the engagement, reclaims corporate projects, and roots out corrupt insiders. When the Gu family elders show up to make a scene and Zhou Yue feigns misery to stir up trouble, Zhou Lan counters every ploy and strips away the pair’s hypocritical facades. As they fight side‑by‑side, Zhou Lan gradually discovers the tenderness and deep affection beneath Jiang Zhou’s sharp‑tongued exterior. What began as manipulation and testing slowly blossoms into genuine feelings. With his thoughtful care and repeated acts of bravery to protect her, Jiang Zhou melts Zhou Lan’s heart bit by bit. The bickering pair’s fake romance turns real, and love grows between them. Refusing to accept defeat, Gu Xuan and Zhou Yue repeatedly plot against them. They slip drugs at banquets, spread public slander, attempt poisoning, and even resort to arson for revenge — yet every scheme is foiled by the two working together. The villains eventually reap what they sow: Gu Xuan is sent to prison, and Zhou Yue is permanently cast out of the Zhou family.
